Re: Dome Surface
Thanks Rafael, that does kind of work. but a Simple Dome tool would be very handy. We use it all the time and can choose between a simple dome and a tangent dome to all surrounding surfaces.rafael_telgmann said:
Dome Surface
Hello is it possible to get a simple dome surface function added to the list of new features?
We use this very often in Solidworks and would find it helpful to have it here in Onshape
With the click of an icon, you can dome a surface to a controlled height or depth.
Its a tool we use daily and saves a lot of time.
Thank you.
David

Re: Dome Surface
First time I've ever seen somebody use that feature . You can do something similar with a Fill surface with a guide point (you'll have to sketch the point first).
Re: Print true to scale
Update:
I tested it on the same pc with another printer, a Ricoh SP213W. This one gives me a print with a size of roughly 100.6 %..... so, a small error but still enough at lager parts.
So i suppose the error must be on the printer driver side.
I will search for settings in the drivers later.

Re: Print true to scale
However, if I hand typed in "100%", it would be accurate.
That's madness!
Re: helix in 2D
1.There is this tool: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/abb998532f54a132a42bea8b/v/c8a10bd7be466c936ab1e590/e/79973a0f955c53b07d20e46e
2. You can also use Helix and project it on the surface. or just use the Sketcher
3. There are functions to generate spiral splines.

Re: Creating equal spacing between different size objects in a sketch
For "distribute horizontally" behavior, do a linear pattern of points or lines or something and constrain your circles to those. Or this custom feature might do the job:

Re: Creating equal spacing between different size objects in a sketch
Use separate construction lines between the edges of the circles (instead of center to center), then add equal constraints to those lines (you may want to use some vertical constraints on the circle centers as well). It's all about how you set up the sketch - hope this helps
Control of the crop/bounding box on detail views
Hello, anyone know if there a way to control the appearance or hide the crop box of detailed views?
I can see where to control it in the parent view, but I can't find where to control it in the child?
Thanks
Rob

Re: BSPP and NPT Threads in Hole callout
I agree Oliver - I like to denote BSPT on drawings rather than a particular standard which forces them to search it up.
