Is there a way to manually edit explode lines?

Re: Should I split my questions, Stack Overflow style?
I think the only thing that really annoys is a new angry post on an ancient thread about how this feature is essential and poster can't believe how it hasn't been implemented. It usually seems to be someone who's just signed up for the pleasure and never posts again.
Trying to make open irregular container
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to build a container. This is my sketch:
I've achieved a black outline, and then I copied and edited the shape again and placed it within the original shape to achieve 1.2mm walls.
I'd like to extrude the outer shape first, then the inner shape to hollow it out but first I think I need to move the smaller (internal) shape 1.2mm away from the front plane, leaving a solid wall, and then extrude the inside to 1.2mm from the opposite side to achieve another wall there. I'm very new to this so I am not sure if I'm even on the right track.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Trying to make open irregular container
I think your end result is to have a box with walls and bottom of 1.2mm thickness. If so, just extrude the entire sketch up 1.2mm and then use Extrude/Thin on one of the perimeter sketch shape entities. Which way (arrow selection) to direct the extrude depends on which perimeter you choose. - Scotty
Re: Trying to make open irregular container
Thanks! I'll look at that option now. Did I go about this correctly? I spent a lot of time adding the inner boundary, but maybe I could have kept it a solid shape with a single line, and somehow converted it to a hollow object with constant wall thickness?

Re: Trying to make open irregular container
I just updated sharing to allow onshape users to copy etc.

Re: Trying to make open irregular container
The link you provided is view only so it's not possible to examine the feature tree to see what you have done to produce the results you have. Just glancing at the feature tree, it looks like there is an abundance of extrudes. If possible, please make your document Public so we can take a peek. - Scotty
Re: Trying to make open irregular container
One more question if you don't mind. I have completed the box but I don't know how to remove the top accurately. If I try to extrude/remove into the box it takes the walls off as well.

Re: Trying to make open irregular container
This sort of part would probably be much easier to make with a shell feature at the end.

Re: Trying to make open irregular container
Not sure what your calling the top, but just select whatever face and extrude cut it through the box.
