Re: Trying to get the gear spacing right
Not sure I understand your question correctly, but if you circular pattern the full 360, it will figure out the spacing for you.
Re: Strandbeast motion problem
The distance of holes in Part 9, or the the length in parts 4 or 5 is a bit off, creating an ambiguous situation that cannot be solved. The grey triangle (Part 2) kind of over-rotates. The same would happen in the real world.
In my version, I shortened Part 5 by 1 cm and that makes it work.
Re: Frames cut list items too long
This is why I rarely use the up to part option. Often, you can avoid this by using up to face.
Re: Enter inches in mm project?
I of course am making that opinion with many years of hindsight. And it is an opinion. I've never once used a drafting board after graduation other than to set the big monitors, cpu and mouse and keyboard on. Any skill that can be learned manually on the board can be learned using CAD. And as time goes by we are seeing the need for 2d fading more and more. Will be interesting to see what's possible in just a few more years.

Re: Enter inches in mm project?
+1 for using the quote for inches and apostrophe for feet. Had a teacher that required us to memorize decimal fraction down to sixteenths. Turns out it was good that he did. Making us do drafting on the board was a waste of time though. 🤣

Re: Threads and mirroring question
Your mirrored threads are correct, except they're backwards. By mirroring the part you've inverted the threads to run the opposite direction from the first side, so now they're left handed. What you need is a circular pattern or other transform that doesn't have a mirroring effect on the geometry to preserve the thread direction.
Re: Tabs & Slots
@mohamad_dawood I had the same barrier to entry when I made the transition from Solidworks and found the same issues with the existing tab and slot features that people had developed. Love that laser joint script, except it doesn't work on sheet metal parts which is disqualifying for my workflows. Also none of the public solutions work on curved edges. I worked with @Caden_Armstrong to custom develop a sheet metal version of tab and slot for our company, but there are some small things that don't work the same was as it does in Solidworks that I'm now going back and refactoring to get better stability and patterning features to make it work more like expected. Should be publishing it here in the next week or two when I'm done with the rewrite.
