Re: Assembly Planes - Where are they?
Mate Connectors can be used to create a section view. Just select the Mate Connector, and the section plane will be defined by the XY plane of the Mate Connector.

I don't agree.
The Mate connectors are kind of a simplified version of a coordinate system.
You can not use all planes and axis of the coordinate system.
On top there is an issue if you want to realign or move the Mate connector you can not rotate along all axis and it takes a few, not intuitive movements to achieve the new orientation.
In my opinion it would be a large benefit if the mate connectors would be a full corrdinate system with 3 selectable planes and 3 selectable axis. And if you could use all 6 degrees of freedom to move the mate connector and its orientation.
What is the reason that mate connectors are not a full coordinate system? Maybe I oversee something.

perhaps mate connectors need a hip cool new name that would be all the rage and go viral.

Re: Update: Super Derive with mate connectors
It's hard to understand why 2 years later Onshape still doesn't allow a derived part to keep the parent's mate connectors natively.
