Re: Why is inserting a view of a configured assembly instance into a drawing not possible?
Each tab has its configuration. This means that if a configured part is inserted in an assembly and this installed part is also to be configured, a configuration must be created in the assembly tab.
Re: Gewinde!
Danke füe eure Hilfe!
Ich habe ThreadLab gefunden und nach ein wenig herumexperimentieren funktioniert es einwandfrei!
Danke noch einmal
Ich wünsche euch noch ein frohes Fest und einen guten Rutsch
Re: Locking a released file
I admit its a little weird and seems to be a "design work" focused default arrangement, whereas I can see in many situations you want users to have a "retrieve released data" default arrangement.
I'm hoping that onshape will work on something, even if its something like a "view only" interface, or a way to automatically open the latest version/revision of a document rather than the most recent workspace.
Re: Boolean Boss Battle
That… worked… thank you!
Though I'm perplexed, because the INITIAL thing that I tried (before the above approach) was to create the outer surface and then thicken it, but it errored out / didn't want to thicken.
And yet, take the same outer surface, build a flat-bottomed-plug onto it's bottom, and it shells just fine.
I thought thickening and shelling were fundamentally the same thing, in terms of the math being applied to a surface (so if one doesn't work then the other shouldn't either) - is that not so? What's the nuance to appreciate there?
Re: New Custom Feature: Point Overcut
I try so hard (programming is not a normal thing for me) so I'm glad when someone else find my scripts useful.
I made a configurable M4 Nut/Bolt/Washer assembly
FTC robots use M4 fasteners almost exclusively, and besides the fact that Onshape doesn't have Nyloc nuts built-in, I wanted to be able to also include different washers.
Once Inserted into an assembly, it can be copied and reconfigured as-needed.
Washer is Fastened to the head, but the nut is on a Slider

Re: It is possible to change the measurement unit in the drawing from mm to cm
thanks for the reply, but there are no cm, m, etc.
