Re: How to apply and deal with versions correctly?
yes exactly Kees. If i know upfront i'll be weighing my options later, I'll branch because its neater in naming etc to see them in parralel.
If I just paint myself into a corner, i'll version it just in case, revert to an older working version and try again so i'll get multiple successive versions in the main for different attempts. (for single part studio work that is)

Re: Toy coaster track
Probably easier to do it than type it… https://cad.onshape.com/documents/d68e6f4831814afbc23b13d4/w/62d391536cdb04392ff97e0b/e/b1eca036cf02737dec25683d

Re: Toy coaster track
looks like your bridging curve is functioning fine. maybe you already figured it out since your post? if not, post a pic with explanation of what's not working.

Re: flat faced circles
You can change tessellation by typing ( shift+r ) , this gives you high quality rendering. Same thing as MDesign said, just a shortcut
Re: How to get Lofted columns to face same direction
Is there a reason why you wouldn't loft one column and then do a circular pattern? This simplifies your workflow and guarantees that orientation is preserved for each column. You may need to loft the first column as a seperate part (New instead of Add in the Loft Feature), perform a circular pattern on the part and then combine all parts with a boolean.
Re: Mating 2 tubes
I added a mate connector in the part studio associated with axle tube to give alignment for the barrel. A fasten mate in assembly will do the job and can be adjusted.
Re: The Perfect Mouse for CAD
MX Master 3 for me!
It's comfortable, stops my wrist from aching and has just enough buttons to be useful and not get in the way.

Re: Toy coaster track
This worked. Thanks a lot, here is the track with sweep -
Looks ok, but I have a question. I am not able to make the bridging curve to look like the one its bridging. Any help will be appreciated. Otherwise I now have full grasp of this.
This forum is really stellar. Thanks a bunch folks. I will have lot of fun with my 3D printer and Onshape.
