How to create perforations along a curved solid?

What is the best way of creating perforations along a curved solid? The pattern along curve tool does not appear to work. Perhaps I am making some mistake somewhere? Any help would be much appreciated.

TL.DR
I would like to know what is the best way to repeat hole every 14mm along the solid.
