Replicate assemblies?

Just want to make sure I'm not missing something here or doing something
wrong. I have a nylon cord grip assembly that consists of the cord grip body, a
rubber washer, and a nut. The washer and nut are fastened in the cord grip assembly along with a slider mate to allow adjustment for use on different material thicknesses. When used in another assembly the body is fastened to one side of a hole in a part and
the rubber washer/nut are planar mated to the other side. When I try to use
replicate I can't grab the whole assembly, but I can grab the body and
it will replicate, but as a separate instance without the washer and nut. I
can't replicate the washer and nut, even if I try to do so as a separate instance. I am assuming I will need to make an IR for either "replicate assembly" or "copy with mates".
