Export in free version?

I have a question similar to the one posted here (I tried to post there, but it may be a closed issue that doesn't allow posting).
I'm using the free version occasionally (off and on, maybe 2-3 times a year) and mostly as a modeling tool that helps me think through possible solutions.
Now, I'd like to export a part and send it to someone with a laser or water jet cutter, but I can't seem to find the Export dialog shown in this Tech Tip. I wonder if Export is still available in the free version, or only in a paid version (which, at $1,500 per year, would be way out of reach for me as a hobbyist).
Could somebody provide an update on export functionality in the free version, please (and where to find it, if it still exists)?

Hi @ruedi_aschwanden - yes you can export from the free plan. Either right-click the tab at the bottom and select Export or right-click the part.

I have a free version and can export a STL file but when I try to export a STEP file it fails. Is this a bug or is this a restriction. I was told early on that the free version would have no functional restrictions. Also copy and paste does no longer work and importing a picture to a sketch is now missing.
Have I spent many hours learning OnShape only to now be denied is usefulness?
Why can there not be a $100, or so, a year plan that would generate a lot of money from 100's of hobbyist that had fewer restrictions?
The economy of many paying a little seem better than a frustrating fall out of bad taste from all the people that are now mad at OnShape. it seems that Onshape would see that as a win-win in generating revenue that was not there before.
How about a version focusing only on the most used features that hobbyist use? Onshape could be the "Google" of hobbyist. The "default for all hobbyists " and make a killing financially as well. The momentum was there……….:( :( :(
OnShape was gaining momentum as being "the recommended program" by many hobbyists, and now it is falling off the list entirely. How sad for OnShape to not understand the world we are living in now with the quantity on many hobbyist all over the world which they could tap into.
What's the export failure? In what sense can you not put an image into a sketch? Can you share screenshots or, better, a link to the document?
If something feels buggy, file a support ticket. Our support folks are extraordinarily responsive.
The free version does all of that. There are no restrictions. (I have both free for home hobby and professional for my dayjob and use both daily). Something is going on on your end. Maybe share a link and we might find the issue.
Sorry with more work I was able to get insert image. I was searching for import image, Also, with extra work I got export STEP to work.
But I cannot seem to do copy and paste. copy is there but paste is not.
