Mate Connector on a Point, Rotate

famadorianfamadorian Member Posts: 390 ✭✭✭
When attaching a mate connector to a point, it's many times difficult to make it face the direction you want.

Is there any way to rotate it after you've attached it?

Yes, usually through one, or a combination of options in the mate connector feature.

hit the check boxes to turn on realign which lets you choose a primary secondary axis.
or hit move, and specify rotation angle about x,y or z
also there is the flip and rotate (90deg increments about z) buttons on the very bottom

you can also pull up this menu with existing mate connectors within certain mates in an assembly
by clicking the expander arrow by the mate, then right click/edit one of the mate connectors
