Is there anyway to reset partnumbers

we had previously messed around with part numbering, but a lot of the parts that were given names are now obsolete. I'm tasked with numbering all of them and would like to have a clean number page.

john_mcclary Member, Developers Posts: 3,938 PROYou should be able to overwrite whatever is in the part number field, with the new part number. This includes a blank part number by deleting the existing text and leaving it blank.
If you have many parts. You may find it quicker to insert all of those parts into an assembly, then use BOM with the partnumber field shown. Then just delete them from there in rapid succession.
If you used release management to set the part numbers, then I'm not sure. Haven't used it.5
