I want to explain the sectional view of my assembly Drawing to one of my friends. And he is getting confused in between parts. Because all are in common color. So how to get colored parts in sectional view?

Currently, there is no option to change the colour of a section view in assemblies. The part edges are supposed to provide a clear delineation between parts. Please create an improvement request for colours to be added.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA2 -

Hi @chand_basha
I accidentally found this technique a while back, it might work for your application.
Try changing the part color each of the different parts.
Then change the face color to something uniform. To select all of the faces at once, window select by dragging your mouse from the right to the left.

Support - Was this feature ever implemented?
Hi @ben_druce929 ,
Yes i think so. Now you will get different colors in sectional view.
And, Thanks to @MichaelPascoe his method worked for me back then.
Yes. You must right click on the section view > show/hide > shaded view.
