Creating Faces to Extrude

mario_darceuilmario_darceuil Member Posts: 113 ✭✭
Consistently it seems that I am unable to create faces with the line tool to extrude. I have two lines which are a part of an extrude at right angles, I then create a third line which results in a triangle, I am thinking this triangle is a face that can be extruded but it doesn't happen. Red Errors occur.  Please Help. I have even tried creating a surface, to create the face but that does not help.

Please help.

If the sketch has a shaded region then that is a face that can be extruded. If not, check your endpoints. It should snap when sketching. If not then use the coincident constraint. If
you are using 2 lines off another extrude did you use the USE command to copy them into the current sketch?

I think creating the "third line" is actually only a single line (assuming a new sketch as well) with no relation to the other 2 lines unless, as Neil suggests, they are 'USED' from the previous sketch.
