Alternative to chamfering internal edges

I am messing around in feature script and have tried to chamfer the edges of extruded text, highlighted here.
It fails on any piece of text that has a vertex with edges at less than 90 degrees.
Is there another method I could use to achieve this?

No, I know how to use the chamfer tool, I am trying to find a way to make the equivalent of a chamfer on these edges.
The problem is that the profile is on a surface, and creating a chamfer of these edges fails.
I am looking for an alternative to create a similar effect.
Okay, chamfer where the 6 meets the cuboid.
Is this what you were looking for ?
Yes! But only the edge I highlighted previously. I would also like to do it asymmetrically to the height of the letter and about a third of the height away from it.
If the cuboid is to be a separate part from the letter, then you could do it by using the Draft Angle tool
