Onshape not letting me create a sketch on the side of a lofted shape

I'm creating an object which needed to be lofted, and for some reason it is not letting me create a sketch on the side of it.

There aren't any extra points or anything which could cause this, as far as I know. Any help would be appreciated.

The lines in Sketch2 are not parallel to the ones in Sketch1 so the faces are not planar, which is required for a sketch plane. Add parallel constraints.
