THE SLOT TOOL IS NOT WORKING AS EXPECTED.

I am creating a wave-board; I need to create slots for through to through extrusion; I need the sots to be horizontal but they come vertical; I've tried the transform tool, but to no avail to get them horizontal. In fact I've gotten them horizontal with the transform tool but it doesn't stay. Please help.

they all look horizontal to me
To draw a slot it is as simple as drawing a line from "center-to-center" of each arc, then select the lines with the slot tool
