Hex Infill grid thickness

I am using the HexInfill feature script (I think by @NeilCooke?)  and was hoping there was a way to thicken the walls of the hex grid. They are often too thin for a 3D printer slicer to detect and so are ignored. More importantly for the project I am working on I wanted thicker walls for strength. I tried using the thicken operation but that doesn't actually thicken them as it would to a surface, it just stretched them in Z Is there a way to make the walls thicker (and I assumed the wall thickness selection would do that, but that doesn't appear to actually thicken the walls). Any suggestions?
