Units of measurement "Each" in parts studio

Hello, I was making a custom drawing template for my engineering class, and everything was going well until I made the "sheet units" cell, where it shows "Each" as the unit of measurement.
Upon further investigation, it appears as though all of my part studios default to making parts with units of "each". Whenever I search for a solution, I get a million search results asking how to change from inches to centimeters or whatever, which is not what I'm asking.
(Bonus question: I can't seem to get my measurements to show "in." beside them, even though it says that's the drawing default)
Let me know if you'd like any more information, thanks!

Let's say your BOM says: 5 Each Wire Rope
That means you want to buy 5 pieces of rope that would probably come in certain pre-cut sizes.
If you instead wanted one long piece of rope that's total length was defined by how many pieces were in the assembly, you would switch the unit to something like this :
5 Meters Wire Rope
Now instead of them buying 5 separate pieces of 1M rope, they should buy one long rope that is 5M long
you typically don't have to show units by each dimension because it should be noted on the title block what units are defined. This is usually done by a note in the border, and you have a different template for each unit of meassure. I don't think you can have this as a variable on the boarder like you are trying.
Examples would be: Architecture borders would have feet-inch, engineering drawings for ANSI would have Inches, Metric drawings would be in millimeters.
I think you can show the units by each dimension by modifying whe drawing properties 'the wrench icon on the right side of the screen' but i'm not at a computer to check right now.
