Union issue

malav_patelmalav_patel Member Posts: 2 EDU
Hello, We are trying to create a union for the following model with 40 parts. Some of them are hollow and some of them are outside. We are unable to unionize all the parts on Onshape and even on Simscale. This is the model.

And this is the error that we are getting. It removes all the inner blocks after boolean. Can anyone give us any ideas about that as soon as possible? Your help would really be appreciated.

It looks like the inner ones are completely inside the big shape. If you want some to be added, and some to be subtracted (I think this is what you mean by "hollow"), you'll need to do two boolean operations. Look for the "Add" "Subtract" "Intersect" options at the top of the feature.

If all of the parts inside the big part are, well, inside, then they will be consumed by the big part. If you want them to create voids then Boolean / subtract them first.
