eDrawings requires the tessellated graphics to be stored in the SLDPRT file. Onshape only stores the Parasolid data since that is all SolidWorks requires. Why not just share the Onshape doc instead of sending an eDrawing?

To make it work with eDrawings, open it in SolidWorks then save it again.

If you don't have SW handy and you want another option besides sending an Onshape link, eDrawings can also open several other export types directly (e.g. Step, Iges, Parasolid).
