beams trim feature is failing after update of beams feature script

Hello I have frame which I drew earlier and now want to adapt to some new measurements and a trim feature that used to work okay is now failing on me.
Instead of keeping the larger part of the beam its result is the counterpart hidden inside the other beam used for trimming, as shown in the screenshots.
I am using official V27 of the Beams featurescript.
I tried rotating the beam or using another offset. Also tried flipping the line in the sketch on which the beam is based.
but nothing seems to change.
Anyone any idea on how to fix this?
