Is there a way to view the history of who has viewed a document and when? I know changes show up in history, but I'm also interested in views.

If the document is shared with number of users and any one of the user access it any time, it shows as last modified by as shown.
Since this document is not shared and was accessed by me only, so it shows myself as last modified user.5 -

@charley For public documents there is no view history at the moment. Just for users with editing permission as @shashank_aarya pointed out.
This has been discussed earlier and I'm sure we will have something more for following our public documents as the time goes on..//rami5
