Getting this top and bottom data lines. Is there a way of getting rid of these, quite annoying an only started with the new onshape helpful area for print!

When you say data lines, do you mean the page name, url, etc...?
I know Firefox will add those to its prints, by default. They can be removed by going into the page setup:
Once, you have the page setup dialog open, you can go to the "Margin & Header/Footer" tab to remove all the header/footer items:
For best results, I also recommend setting the margins to 0.
How you get to the page setup can differ depending on your operating system. The screenshots I took were from Windows 10.
I have not seen the border being added. If you find that this is making it into the final print, please log Feedback through the help question mark-->Feedback, and we will look into the bug.
