Align a distance between 2 center points for a line - 2D drawing (not a sketch)

Murray_2Murray_2 Member Posts: 12 PRO
Hi all,

When I select my 2 center points, I can either dimension them horizontally or vertically, but I would like the dimension to be parallel to a line that is at an angle.

The image shows what I am after. The green line is the reference line.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Murray

I wish, but the workaround is to have a line/point dimension.

It will be parallel to the line.

So you would need to create a sketch in the partstudio that you will then 'show' in the drawing view.

If you right click a view in your drawing, there is a an option to show sketches. Then you choose all of the sketches you want in that view.

There are opinions it the drawing properties to change colors and stuff as well, but the colors are overridden for all sketches of that kind in the drawing.
