No shelling a cylinder with wrap remove?

Hi

I tried a simple thing - wrap remove 2mm a text from a cylinder, and then shell it with 4 mm thickness - no luck. OS says "could not shell part with selections".

It doesn't matter what thickness of the shell I choose.

And also the other way around - to shell and then wrap remove - doesn't work either. OS says in wrap command: "Selected tools and targets do not intersect".

Is there a solution to this?

    I just opened a new document and managed to do it. Don't know why it didn't work in the first one, maybe because I first made there a sheet metal object.
    But thanks anyway.
