How to form a Helix along a 3D curve

I have a bent tube of the same diameter that has turns. I'd like to create a helix that follows the center line of the tube. I can't figure out either to create a curve/spline from the center point of the tube and/or create a Helix that follows the center line or follows the tube.

You may want to create the centerline of your tube first, and then sweep it.
