How to update constraints references to solve "Some external references are missing." issue

Hello,
I've been using onshape for quite some time, but I still haven't figured out if there is a workaround for the following situation:
You create a sketch on a surface, like the one shown in the first picture, then you change the surface of the sketch and the constraints are lost, as shown in the second image. I know that it makes sense that they are lost, but is there a way to change the reference of the lost constraint without deleting them?
