Cannot seem to select the centre of a hole for 'mate'

Dear all,

It seems like it is very difficult to select the middle of a hole without the anchor point disappearing as shown in the video here. Are there any tricks to make this easier? Many thanks.

    The official tutorials for vex robotics in onshape also covered this issue quite well as well
    Apologies that I couldn't change it to solved faster as the post was pending for approval.
    I guess my team is switching to onshape now. Seems to be better for collaboration than Fusion.
