Internal end cap for tube with oblique end

I tried to make an internal end cap at an tube with oblique end. That gives an error. Is it still possible or has this functionality to be added at the End cap feature?



I made the end cap by hand.

Here’s one way

Use FILL

And then use an EXTRUDE FS that allows you to set the direction

And within that extrude dialog, to set the direction, I selected the surface of the tube

Thanks for your reply. I was not familiar with the Thin Feature CS.

Your solution must be made by milling or 3D laser cutting.

I want to make the inside cap by 2D laser cutting.

I’ve modified the above document

I added a couple more features
I made a sketch at the top surface of the cap
I used the USE tool to select the outline of the top and bottom of the cap
Then I used extrude set to INTERSECT

This is exactly the shape I made (in a different way, with standard features) and what I like to have as additional functionality with the End Cap feature.
