We are trying to build a custom library of existing profiles used in our products. When I tag a sketch and try to use it as a Frame profile in a separate document, the tagged profile doesn't show up. I can only see the original sketch. I have tried versioning the profile once tagged and I am obviously using these in a…

The profile sketches were created by projecting the end of a component of a separate part studio, so that should not be the issue. I need to Tag the profile to use Alignment Points. I've tried refreshing and restarting the browser. Do I need to set up a user Library to use Tags properly?

I suspect this will get added to std at some point since it's a common feature to frame generators in other CAD packages like SW and Inventor, but while we wait, here's a quick and dirty upgrade to frame trim that allows frame profiles to be extended to faces if the face plane doesn't intersect the body. It's essentially a…

Imagine: A shed has four walls with timber frames. We need to create a BOM with all timber (90x45mm section) x length(!) The obvious design is creating the walls using centre lines and creating frames in a Part Studio. (Yes, we also created models based on mating individual parts of timber, but this is a huge amount of…

And I want to have parametric text in Cut list.…

I have a job to draw up soon and there are four tubes coming up from four corners meeting in the centre I've managed to make a frame by doing it as a "v" then making a second one 90° to the first. Sketching and extrude/removing corners. Can I just select the four as a frame and have them trimmed to each other they are…
