Dimensions not changing from inches

I am a DT teacher using Onshape in the UK and when students set up their accounts they forget to change the dimensions to millimetres which is what we work in. I go into the account settings and change them there - this sometimes works but often doesn't. I have tried getting the students to sign in and out again, close the browser but it still defaults back to inches. And when I go and look at their account settings it's still in inches.

The preferences only work for new docs. For existing ones, you can change the units inside the doc using the "hamburger" menu, top left.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA0
