CAD Challenges App

Matt_ShieldsMatt_Shields Member Posts: 406 PRO
Hey educators!  You may have seen this post yesterday about our new CAD Challenges app.  I just wanted to highlight the app specifically for this community.  We hope it will be usefull as a fun way for students to practice their modeling skills.  What @ian_d_gardiner calls "CAD calisthenics."  Specifically, the app challenges you to carefully read drawings, understand section and auxilary views, and interpret dimensions.  These are important skills on the Certified Onshape Associate exam.  We hope you find it useful!

This is cool, a really nice addition thank you  :)

It'd be great if the units matched the user's preferences - over in the UK and the rest of Europe we are metric.
Also, it would be good to be able to reverse engineer the design of the reference part - it comes in as a derived part without features to roll-back through.

Looking forward to trying it. I've been getting a lot of enjoyment out of the TooTallToby challenges and I expect to do so from this as well.

The CAD Challenges app has been an invaluable tool in my studies. It made learning how to read technical drawings and understand different views both fun and interactive. The apps challenges closely mimic real exam scenarios, making it the perfect preparation tool. Thanks to its engaging format, I improved my skills significantly and saw a huge boost in my exam scores. I highly recommend it to anyone aiming for high grades in technical subjects!

This CAD Challenges app sounds like an amazing resource for students to build and refine their 3D modeling and design skills! Practicing with section views, auxiliary views, and dimension interpretation not only strengthens technical proficiency but also prepares students for certifications like the Certified Onshape Associate exam. A great way to make learning CAD engaging and interactive—perfect for developing real-world design expertise!
