grey outlines when parts are turned off

I have been creating a multipart assembly. My first one. When I turn off all the parts, grey outlines of part of the sketches remain. I guess these are in some way unconstrained or unresolved. Unfortunately, I don't know why. I've attached a photo which will show more clearly what I'm trying to solve. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

In the sketch dialog, "disable imprinting" will remove the face you used for selection (the grey area) from the sketch.

Or maybe just hiding the sketches is all you are missing?

I personally would like to see "disable imprinting" as the default.

Vote for "disable imprinting" as default:

Remembering the previous setting would likely be the least disruptive, but if they ever expand the preferences page, this seems like a prime example of a polarizing setting which should make it there (along with orbit vs tumble 3D view spinning options).
