How to create a negative form with an offset

Hi everybody,
im currently working on this file:

It’s an form for an iPad and a pencil. I want to 3d print that part and a negative and then sandwich wet leather between both parts to form the leather. To do this, i need an offset of 1.5mm in the negative form and i can’t figure out how to do that.

You're in luck.  The Boolean tool has an offset option built in!

Create a new solid for your other part and then use a boolean to remove the current from it, you can add an offset in the boolean command or if you only want some of the faces to be offset you can use a "move face" feature.
