I have long latency and from the east coast am on us-west-2 with better latency in ca-central-1 (Central) or us-east-1 (Virginia) or us-east-2 (Ohio)
How do I change to a different location

us-west-2 is your closest region. What latency values is Onshape reporting and what are you experiencing that makes you think latency is the problem?

Onshape's performance tool? 78ms is fine and has no effect on regen time. Take a look at the regen times button in the top right corner of the feature list to see where the bottleneck is. Also, how many features in your feature list?

I refer to my previous answers - "us-west-2 is your closest region" - "has no effect on regen time" - chaining workspace derived features is a sure way to bog things down - swap to versions instead or use in-context.
