Configured variable "failed to regen" but the models are fine?

I have a sprocket configuration that is reporting a variable as having failed to regenerate in the feature tree while it is fine in the physical model. I haven't found a similar forum post and am hoping someone here has an idea why, thanks in advance! Screenshot and link below.

    Not sure why it would matter, but I noticed the variable is set to "Any" not "Number". I changed it to number and it works... but now when I change it back to "Any" it also works 🤷‍♂️
