How to project sketch onto a curved surface?

I am currently making a shoe for a school project and am working on the bottom tread. I have a sketch for it and am trying to project it onto the bottom part of the shoe (which is curved) using the wrap tool, but it will not let me select the bottom of the shoe as a surface. Is there any other way I would be able to do this? Here is the link to the document: Sign in (onshape.com).
