ho do I connect these 5 parts to a surface

I am trying to connect these parts to what it calls a surface. When I 3d printed this the parts just snap off ad they arent joined.
How to I connect them?

Hello. Onshape is a solids and surfaces modeler. Your import is a mesh and is not usable for further modeling.

Two options I know of are to: 

Remodel the import in Onshape.

Go back to your import source an see if a file format that Onshape can use is available.

There are plenty of videos available online that demonstrate remodeling a mesh. - Scotty

Yes remodelling is the best option here. I have managed to repair the original file so it is a "Part' which means you can use mixed modelling in Onshape

Thats Perfect. Thanks so much. I still couldnt work out how to do it myself

The STL file that you imported came in with faults with some surfaces and some parts. I used other software to repair the STL and then re-imported it
