Maintaining Constant Dimensions of the Mate Connector During Zoom Operations

Is it possible to keep the mate connector the same size when zooming in and out? Currently, they expand when I zoom out. I would like them to remain the same dimensions.

    They are not actual geometry and stay the same size for ease of selection.

    It would be nice if I could hide or show all the connectors. They are just in the way of seeing the whole design. Usually, when I want to select, I will zoom in.
