How does one define a new material to assign to a part that is not already in the database?

The material I want to use is not listed when I try to assign it to the part. Is there a way to define a new material and associated properties to add to the database?

You can propose new material through feedback (? -menu in cad) or wait for custom materials getting implemented.
I suppose the reason for having some materials but not complete set is that developers can continue working on how to use the data in other areas while they figure out the best way to introduce all / custom materials.//rami5
