Can Onshape color a sketch area?

fred_wildfred_wild Member Posts: 21
I made a 2D sketch of a porch repair. Can Onshape color or texture an enclosed area in a sketch to distinguish it from an adjacent area?  For example, plywood would display differently than wood flooring.  I see the appearance feature, but it seems to apply to extruded parts and faces only. Thank you.

Create multiple offset surface features, one for each colour.

You could create an offset surface of 0mm and colour that.

Thank you.  I tried that (my first time with offset surface).  Onshape displayed the new zero offset surface for the selected region but did not display the remaining sketch regions. The purpose is to display a complete sketch with different regions shown in different colors or textures to distinguish one from the other.  If I add other regions to the zero offset surface, Onshape shows them but colors them together.  Any suggestions?  Thank you very much.
