How do I extract the intersection curve of a part and a surface?

I want the intersection curve of the red surface and the blue part. I can intersect surfaces and surfaces and parts or surfaces and planes. How do I get a surface and part intersection?

Another method would be to thicken the surface then Boolean subtract one part from the other to get the intersection. Your example shown above is not possible to do in one operation at present. Hope this helps.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEAI5
