Revolving body push 2nd revolving body

I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to have one revolving body as it rotates and eventually makes contact with a second revolving body, to push that second body along with it up until it hits a limit? Never even mind the limit for now, just want one rotating body to catch another rotating body and push it along with it. I know gears will let you rotate two at the same time but those are constant right? I only want the second body to rotate when contact is made with the first revolving body.

In the example when the yellow part rotates it should strike the green part and carry it along as it rotates until it hits the purple part.

You are asking for intermittent contact which cannot be done right now.
