Etching a curve onto a non-cylindrical curved surface

Hi there, I'm quite new to Onshape, and I've been trying to etch this helical pattern onto the face of this loft, but I can't seem to find a way how to do it. Does anyone know how to do so? Thanks in advance.

You can create a helix, then use it as the sweep path for a horizontal line which gives you a "cutting" surface body. Is there any way to make the size of the rotations complimentary to the shape of the loft as it changes?
