Creating a radial (radius) constraint fails

p_larsenp_larsen Member Posts: 2
I can easily create a diameter constraint for a circle or arch.  But I often need to enter the radius and instead of just doing a *2 in the dimension constraigt I want to see the R15 or similar value in the sketch.  But when I click the edge of the circle the radius shows up very very briefly and then disappears, without giving me an option to write the number. And if I click inside the circle after that I get a message that an object cannot be dimensioned against itself or "a dimension cannot be added between a curve and one of its points".

I tried https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/drawings-dimensions.htm#Radial but alas the icon doesn't exist, nor does "search tools" show anything when searching on radial or radius.  What's the secret here?  This started a few days ago and extremely simple sketches takes forever as I try to figure out why the clicks aren't working.

The secret is that all circles have diameters and all arcs have radii in a Sketch in a Part Studio. The help you linked above is for Drawings.
