Error code: SIGILL i

When I try to design something on Onshape, my browser suddenly gives the error code: SIGILL. When I refresh the page, I can use it a little bit more, but within 5 minutes, I get the same error again.

    That's a new one for Onshape. What operating system / version, browser / version are you using? Is everything up to date? Do you have any browser extensions running?

    Apparently this could be from a Linux system.

    SIGILL = "Signal: Illegal Instruction." This error occurs when a program tries to execute an invalid, illegal, or undefined machine language instruction, typically due to corrupted code, a bug, or an attempt to run code on incompatible hardware.

    I don’t understand. I’m new to Onshape, and in the quick start guide video, they said that if your computer can run a browser, you can use Onshape. So why is my hardware incompatible

    What does https://cad.onshape.com/check say? Also check another browser like Firefox. If the browser is raising an exception against the operating system there's not a lot we can do and the fact that you can use Onshape at all points to it being the distro.

    The site said that it is compatible.

    The only thing we send to the browser is a webpage, so there is something going on between your browser and operating system. Did you try a different browser?

    I get this problem constantly on ubuntu 24 with any chrome based browser.
