Custom features - 3d Points and Variable Pitch Helix
Original post: https://forum.onshape.com/discussion/25252/variable-pitch-helix-and-3d-point-fs-features-from-crusoe-technologies#latest
Haven't received any feedback for our Custom features in 'General' category! So posting them to 'Featurescript' category and we are hoping to receive feedback from both regular Onshape users as well as Featurescript experts. Here are the two custom features we wrote recently.
CT Points: Creates points along the curves, on surfaces and in space.

CT Helix: Creates variable pitch helices based on the defined zones

Please let us know of any bugs or enhancement requests. We have plans to come up with a few more custom features in the near future.

I added CT points to my toolbar. Having both length or percentage options is very nice.
@S1mon thank you for your comment. Let us know if you come across any bugs.
It would be really nice if this feature (or others) had the ability to add a point on a curve closest to a reference. Similar to how @EvanReese 's FaceCurves can take a reference vertex to add an isoparametric curve closest to a reference.
@S1mon we have published new version V3 of CT Points which has support for creating points closest to a reference. Please check it and let us know if you have any comments.
