Can't import stp file....going in loop
Hi Brain Trust
I am helping a friend with some CAD. I am an old Mechie and was used to SW, but am new to onshape….but super keen to make it work.
I have been given a stp file of the microsoft connect camera but it keeps filing to translate on import. A quick scan of other similar questions suggests I should "allow errors", but I can't see this option anywhere during the import process.
For clarity, I am selecting create, import file and selecting the .stp on my hard drive. Then selecting to import as a single doc (though I've tried the others too) and leaving all tick-boxes unchecked. I get the failed to translate error message and the options to update or download (which is a confusing option).
Any suggestions?
Many thanks

Failed to translate means it could not decipher the contents of the file. Please open a support ticket.
