Re-use a part in a part-studio config

So here is my issue, I have a part studio for 4 sided box (4 different parts). I have configs for different sizes. I'd like to re-use the part number if the part is re-used.
Example: Face a in Config A is 32". In Config B, it's also 32". I don't want to spool up another PN, then modify BOMs. Is there a way to do this? Or do I need to have a clunky studio and use an assembly for configs?

Configs apply to the entire Part Studio not the individual parts, so your assumption is correct. You would need a part studio for each side.

Man, that is a super bummer. Looks like the correct OP order would be to have your PS configs, but only release said parts from certain configs, and then re-assemble in an assembly.
Unless you can use variables from one part studio in another…or store them in an assembly? What would the "correct" way to do this be? If you wanted 4 sides of a box to each have their own part studio, but to be driven off of each other?
In my case, I have a base sketch that drives all 4 parts. In Solidworks, I'd just make that sketch in an assembly, then drive parts from it. Would you have a part studio whose entire purpose was just to house the primary sketch?
