add a note/comment to end of dimension on a sketch

Is there a way to add a note to the end of a dimension on a sketch? I tried all the brackets, paranthesis, etc. The text tool is too much hassle & bulky.

No you can't add text to a sketch dimension but you can in drawings, or you can add a comment and tag a piece of geometry. Depends upon what you are trying to achieve.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEAI5
